Using Cratelog

Terms of Service

Last updated 23 July 2026

The Service

Cratelog is a subscription and collection tracking service that helps users organize book box subscriptions, waitlists, books, reminders, and related records. The Service may evolve over time, and features may be added, modified, suspended, or removed.

Subscription Tracking and Reminders

Cratelog is an organizational tool only. It does not perform, execute, or intermediate any transaction with subscription services. In particular, Cratelog never skips, pauses, cancels, or purchases a subscription on your behalf; where the app offers a skip or cancel action, it only directs you to the subscription service's own website, email address, or form, and records what you tell us you did.

Deadlines, renewal dates, and reminders shown in the app are informational estimates. They depend on data you enter, on catalog information that subscription services may change without notice, and on notification delivery, which is not guaranteed.

You remain solely responsible for managing your actual subscriptions with each service, including completing skips or cancellations before that service's deadlines. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cratelog is not responsible for charges, fees, missed deadlines, lost skips, or any other outcome resulting from your reliance on information or reminders in the app, or from the acts or omissions of external subscription services.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If the law of your country sets a higher minimum age for using online services without parental consent (up to 16 in parts of the European Economic Area), that higher age applies.

If you are under 18, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. Users must also have legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under applicable law.

Accounts

Users may need an account to access some or all features. Users agree to:

  • provide accurate and current registration information;
  • keep login credentials confidential;
  • promptly update account information when it changes; and
  • accept responsibility for activity that occurs under their account unless caused by the Service provider's own fault.

Cratelog may refuse registration, require identity or ownership verification in limited cases, or suspend access where account security is at risk.

Acceptable Use

Users may not:

  • use the Service unlawfully or fraudulently;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, copy, or exploit the Service, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
  • upload malware, malicious code, or harmful content;
  • misuse support channels, reports, review systems, or feedback tools; or
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent affiliation.

Cratelog may investigate and take appropriate action in response to suspected violations of these Terms.

User Content

Users retain ownership of the data and content they submit to Cratelog, such as notes, book records, custom entries, and profile information.

To operate the Service, users grant Cratelog a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display that content only as necessary to provide, secure, improve, and support the Service.

Users represent that they have the rights necessary to submit their content and that the content does not violate law or third-party rights.

Community catalog contributions are treated differently from private data. If a user submits a service, book, edition, sale, release, or similar catalog content and it is approved, that content becomes part of the shared catalog available to all users. The license for approved catalog contributions continues for as long as the content remains in the catalog, and such content may remain in the Service after the contributing account is deleted. Catalog content is published without attribution to the contributor.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, branding, design, interface, text, graphics, logos, and non-user content, is owned by or licensed to Cratelog and protected by intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are granted to users.

Availability and Changes

Cratelog may update, improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. The Service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, outages, third-party failures, or technical reasons.

Cratelog does not guarantee that any specific feature will always remain available in its current form.

Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services such as app stores, sign-in providers, analytics vendors, support systems, or public metadata sources. Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy notices, and Cratelog is not responsible for services it does not control.

Fees and Payments

The Service is currently provided free of charge. Cratelog may offer paid features, subscriptions, or one-time purchases in the future.

If paid features are introduced, prices, billing terms, renewal and cancellation conditions, and any applicable consumer withdrawal rights will be clearly disclosed before purchase. Payments will be processed by the relevant app store or another designated payment provider under their own terms.

Termination and Suspension

Cratelog may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Service, with or without prior notice where appropriate, if:

  • the user breaches these Terms;
  • the user creates legal, security, or operational risk;
  • the Service must comply with law or a lawful request from authorities; or
  • the account has been inactive for an extended period and applicable law permits closure after notice.

Upon termination or suspension, user access may be revoked and personal data may be deleted or retained in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

Users may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion, subject to legal retention obligations.

Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnities, and the governing law and dispute provisions.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

Cratelog does not warrant that:

  • the Service will always be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
  • data will never be lost, delayed, or inaccurate;
  • third-party integrations will always remain available; or
  • the Service is suitable for every user's specific legal, financial, or business needs.

Cratelog is an organizational tool and does not guarantee the accuracy of third-party metadata, schedules entered by users, or decisions made by external subscription services.

The Service is provided for general organizational purposes only and does not constitute financial, legal, investment, tax, or other professional advice.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cratelog and its operators, owners, employees, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or business opportunities arising from or related to the use of the Service.

To the extent liability cannot be excluded but may be limited, the total aggregate liability of Cratelog arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the total amount the user paid to Cratelog in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty euros (€50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this clause may not apply to some users.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Cratelog and its operators from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of the user's unlawful conduct, breach of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of the user's country of habitual residence provide stronger protection that cannot be waived.

Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory statutory rights that a consumer has under the law of their country of habitual residence.

Before filing a formal claim, users should contact Cratelog to attempt an informal resolution.

Changes to the Terms

Cratelog may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, notice will be given through the app, website, or email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means the updated Terms apply, to the extent permitted by law.

App Store Terms

If the app is downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play:

  • the license granted to the user is limited to a non-transferable right to use the app on permitted devices;
  • Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms except to the extent required by their platform rules; and
  • those platforms may have additional rights as third-party beneficiaries where their standard terms require it.
